As a dynamic player in the world of civil engineering we recognise the importance of employing and retaining the right calibre of people. Career progression is a continuous process at DCT and very much at the heart of our business ethos.
As such, we operate a continuous programme of training and development covering a wide but essential range of topics from Health and Safety through to new legislation and environmental awareness.
Graduate training at DCT often involves the outplacement of staff to partner organisations. A highly effective method of gaining knowledge across a diverse range of complementary skills.
At DCT we are committed to the concept of progression management. Attracting new entrants into construction is something we take very seriously and we act on a number of levels with this aim. We involve ourselves in initiatives and practices which both ensure that young people are made aware of the exciting career opportunities, and also which assist the career development of those who choose us as an employer. Our staff visit schools and colleges and organise site visits to both warn young people of the dangers of entering a construction site, and also to open their minds up to the possibilities for career development.
