Our Company

DCT Civil Engineering Ltd is a privately owned civil engineering contractor working in the following sectors: water and sewerage; highways; public realm and environmental; development infrastructure; and energyFormed in 1980, we have a long track record of successful contracting both in the public and private sector, and a broad cross section of contracting skills.

DCT has specialist capabilities for tunnelling and shaft construction, and has gained a reputation amongst clients as being well able to manage the risk associated with the more challenging projects.  We are a 'contractor of choice' for many clients faced with technically difficult tunnelled crossings of road, rail and watercourses.

Our hands-on management team is committed to the successful delivery of any project and aims to achieve year on year improvements in safety, quality and value to the benefit of our client, using highly motivated and locally based contracts management teams.

Over the years DCT has grown both organically and by acquisition, with a turnover now in excess of £40 Million.  In 1986, DCT acquired Buckton Contractors, a company with wide experience and particular specialisation in highway projects and structures work.  In 2006, DCT acquired the Frameworks and Regions divisions of Dew Construction Ltd, part of Dew Pitchmastic plc.  Dew boasts over 70 years of contracting experience across a range of sectors, bringing a wealth of experience particularly in long-term 'partnering' framework contracts.

DCT aspires to provide a service of which its people can be proud.  Whilst profit is recognised as the life blood of the business, we encourage our teams to exhibit:

- Responsibility: protecting our workforce, the environment, and all those affected by our work.

- Integrity: demonstrating strong ethical principles with openness and honesty

- Collaboration: dedicated to working together to achieve results

- Excellence: passionate about delivering to the highest standards
